Join the most powerful gathering of women leaders, policymakers, and innovators shaping public power for drinks, networking, and thought leadership. Make connections, share stories, and ignite conversations.


The Power of Membership

5:30 - 6 p.m.

Come discover how the American Public Power Association can go to work for you. Find out about Association resources, and get tips on how you can leverage them to make your job easier. Ask questions, get answers, and share your ideas on what APPA can do to help you succeed.


Welcome Reception
Sunday, June 18
6 – 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks while you reconnect with old friends, meet new people and network with the nation's public power leaders. All conference participants and guests are welcome to attend.

New Conference Mentor Program
If you're a first-time attendee, or the only one from your organization, pair up with a seasoned conference-goer who'll show you the ropes. Your mentor will meet you at the Welcome Reception and stay in touch with you throughout the conference.

Guest Hospitality Event: Canvases and Comradery
Monday, June 19
9:30 – 11 a.m.

Spend a relaxing morning with friends and channel your inner artist. Grab a bite with one hand and a paintbrush with the other. Professional instructors will guide you through the steps of recreating a featured painting to make your own masterpieces while enjoying the company of friends and a few prizes. All you need to bring is your creativity; we’ll provide a light breakfast and all the supplies.

Young Professionals Happy Hour
Monday, June 19
6 p.m.

Meet up with other young professionals from public power utilities, affiliates and partner organizations at a relaxing, fun, pay-your-own-way happy hour. Share a drink and plan the future.

One of the highlights of the National Conference, the Public Power Expo brings 100+ industry suppliers under one roof to showcase products and services. Visit the interactive expo floor plan to start learning about exhibitors and plan your visit.

The final event of the National Conference is the Chair's Breakfast, featuring the installation of the new chair of the American Public Power Association. The breakfast will conclude with a keynote address by Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (ret.), former Commander of the USS Cole.
