Energy Efficiency Management Certificate Program - Offered at the Spring Education Institute and on an in-house basis
To earn an Energy Efficiency Management Certificate, each participant must complete the six required courses and then, within a year of completing the course work, pass a written exam and submit an energy efficiency program business plan. To maintain certification, participants must complete 20 hours of additional approved continuing education training (not limited to APPA offerings) every two years.

Energy Efficiency Webinars
This series of four webinars—based on APPA’s Energy Efficiency Management Certificate Program curriculum—is designed to provide a high-level overview on energy efficiency program development, implementation, budgeting, marketing and management. This series will benefit those interested in starting or enhancing an energy efficiency program, as well as utility staff and other individuals who work or have interest in the multiple aspects of energy efficiency.

Customer Connections Conference
APPA’s annual meeting for energy services, key accounts, economic development, public communications, and customer service professionals features breakout sessions and pre-conference seminars devoted to energy services topics.

National Conference
APPA’s premier meeting for utility executives, governing boards, and policymakers, the National Conference offers sessions and in-depth preconference seminars on energy efficiency, as well as sessions on other issues important to public power leaders.
