Michigan public power utility Traverse City Light & Power on Dec. 11 announced a plan for the sale of its Cedar Run Road property, a 49-acre parcel located in Garfield Township, to Livwell Homes, LLC based on the proposal received by TCLP.

U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.), Vermont public power utility Stowe Electric Department and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development recently celebrated the awarding of $6 million in federal funding to support energy initiatives in Stowe, Vermont.
Energy Storage
The Long Island Power Authority Board of Trustees on Dec. 18 approved two battery energy storage contracts in Suffolk County: a 79-megawatt facility in Hauppauge and a 50 MW facility in Shoreham.
Distributed Energy Resources
The Department of Energy has issued a proposed nonavailability waiver applicable to domestically assembled solar PV panels under the Build America Buy American provisions of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
Reliability
In an action to secure the long-term reliability of water and power service, the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) Board of Directors today passed a resolution committing to modernize its critical infrastructure by 2040.
