Seattle City Light Chief Customer Officer Craig Smith Earns Prestigious Energy Efficiency Achievement Award

The board of directors of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance recently honored winners of the 2023 Leadership in Energy Efficiency Awards and Seattle City Light Chief Customer Officer Craig Smith received the Tom Eckman Leadership in Energy Efficiency Award for Lifetime Achievement.

The award recognizes an individual for collaboration, innovative solutions, and lifelong contributions to advancing energy efficiency.

Over the past 25 years, Craig has contributed significantly to NEEA’s success, including serving as Chair of the Alliance’s Board of Directors, driving market transformation to improve energy efficiency, and advancing energy conservation in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle City Light noted in a post on its website.

His professional career “spans several decades and parts of the country. He has always embodied outstanding achievement in advancing energy efficiency. He has helped shape the industry with his strong commitment to public service, business-oriented perspective, collaborative and cooperative nature, and visionary leadership,” Seattle City Light said.

Tacoma Power’s Income Qualified Rental Program was awarded the Leadership in Energy Efficiency Award for Innovative Collaboration by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance.
