Washington State’s Snohomish County PUD recently selected Jeff Bishop as its next Chief Financial Officer following a nationwide recruitment search. Bishop will join the PUD on March 3.
Bishop brings more than 25 years of experience leading high-performing electric utility financial teams. He is also returning to the Pacific Northwest, where he graduated from the University of Washington and previously served as CFO at Seattle City Light and Grant PUD.
“It’s a privilege to join Snohomish County PUD and have the opportunity to continue to serve in public power,” said Bishop. “I’m looking forward to working with the talented Snohomish team as we tackle the challenges and opportunities of the evolving energy industry.”
Bishop comes to the PUD from Omaha Public Power District, the 11th-largest public power utility in the nation.
Bishop served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at OPPD, managing $1.4 billion in annual revenue and a $2.1 billion annual budget, and overseeing financial planning and analysis, treasury and financial operations, supply-chain management, warehousing, fleet and energy market trading.

At the PUD, Bishop will oversee numerous teams, including Budget and Financial Planning, Treasury, Risk Management and Supply, Accounting and Finance Systems Support.
Prior to OPPD, Bishop led financial teams at Grant PUD, GridLiance, Seattle City Light and PacifiCorp. He started his career in audit and assurance with Deloitte Touche LLP.
Bishop is a licensed certified public accountant in Washington State. He serves as Treasurer for the Large Public Power Council.
