New officers for the American Public Power Association Business and Financial section and planning committees were named at the closing session of the 2023 Business & Financial Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
Lisa Hough, Director – Legal Operations, Omaha Public Power District, Nebraska, will chair APPA’s Business & Financial Section in 2023-2024. Jared Price, Chief Information Officer, American Municipal Power, Inc. Ohio, is vice chair.
Kelli Nugent, Chief Financial Officer, Carthage Water & Electric Plant, Missouri, will chair the Accounting & Finance Planning Committee and Bart Miller, Chief Financial Officer, Heber Light & Power Company, Utah, will serve as vice chair.
Tammye Riley, Director of Operations, Kerrville Public Utility Board, Texas, will chair the Human Resources Planning Committee and Julio Torrado, Director of Human Resources and Communications, Keys Energy Services, Florida, will serve as vice chair.
Andrew Anderson, Director of Information Technology, Greenville Utilities Commission, North Carolina, will chair the Information Technology Planning Committee and Josh Cox, Systems Manager, City of Westerville, Ohio, will serve as vice chair.
Doug Handley, Director of Finance, Rates and Power Supply, Paducah Power System, Kentucky, will chair the Rates & Pricing Planning Committee and Amber Smeal, Pricing and Rates Project Lead, Nebraska Public Power District, will serve as vice chair.
Kyle Gibbs, Insurance Risk Management Program Manager, Colorado Springs Utilities, Colorado, will chair the Risk Management & Insurance Committee and Paul Dietz, Enterprise Risk Manager, Grant County PUD, Washington, will serve as vice chair.
Jillian Jurczyk, Rates Manager, Utility Financial Solutions LLC, Advisory will serve as the Advisory Officer of the Accounting & Finance Planning Committee.
