Transmission is the critical link between large-scale electric generating facilities and the local system of wires connecting homes and businesses in your community. Public power customers share this resource with every other customer connected to the grid, and so public power utilities are interested in keeping this resource reliable, robust enough to support an increasingly variable resource mix, and an affordable component of our electric bills.
